COWLSO Set For ‘Impactful’ 24th National Women’s Conference

The Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials, COWLSO, says this year’s National Women’s Conference will positively impact, empower and encourage women to soar beyond boundaries and enrich communities while bringing out the best in them.

Wife of the State Governor and Chairman, of the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials, Dr Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, said this at the pre-event Media briefing for the twenty-fourth National Women’s Conference with the theme: “Soar Beyond Boundaries -Enrich Communities.”

Speaking at the briefing held at the Lagos House Ikeja, Dr Sanwo-Olu said the hybrid COWLSO’s National Conference on Tuesday and Wednesday next week, which would be graced by Governors of Akwa Ibom, Osun and Nasarawa states aimed at exploring and unleashing hidden potentials in women and communities.

She said the conference which would be streamed live with three thousand physical participants and one thousand five hundred virtual participants will feature various activities and discuss topics which include communicable diseases, challenging gender stereotypes.

In her vote of thanks, Wife of the Deputy Governor and Vice Chairman, COWLSO, Mrs Oluremi Hamzat, who expressed gratitude to God and stakeholders said the National women’s conference promised to be a very robust experience, knowledge inspiring as well as impactful.

Chairperson, COWLSO’s Planning Committee for 2024 National Women’s Conference, Professor Olufunke Adeyeye, said the briefing was aimed at raising awareness about the annual programme to explore how participants can identify collective efforts to drive a positive change, break barriers for Nigeria to thrive.
