The Lagos State Government is to review its developmental plans to meet infrastructure demand while creating opportunities for stakeholders to take advantage of investments with the maiden Physical Planning Summit.

Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr Oluyinka Olumide, said this at a news briefing in Alausa, Ikeja on the upcoming Lagos Physical Planning Summit on the fifteenth and sixteenth of this month.

Dr Olumide said despite the laudable achievements, there were still some noticeable gaps between the planning policy and implementation strategies which would be addressed at the upcoming summit with the theme: “Rethinking Lagos: A new vision for regional and integrated mega city.”

The Commissioner also noted that the maiden summit which would have in attendance professionals, investors and international participants would improve businesses and guide urban development plans in the state.

In his opening remarks, Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Gbenga Omotoso, restated the commitment of the state government to building Lagos smart city while fostering discussions on climate change and urban development.
