LSG establishes more registration  centers : tasks Lagos residents on Ilera – Eko.

To reach out to the informal sector which is the primary target, the Agency has established five Divisional Offices, 14 Sub-divisional offices and 16 kiosks at different locations in the State.

Information has it that, any form of method used to register, ends with a biometric capturing which translates to visiting any of the 62 Registration Outlets in different Local Governments and Local Council development areas across the State for capturing.

At the point of capturing, two documents are required, Proof of Address and Identity and for

the Online registration, residents begin the enrolment process by providing basic information.     

LASRRA’s General Manager, Bilikis Abiola

gave the explanations at a joint news briefing at Alausa Ikeja, saying, ” registering with the agency serves as a gateway to accessing different services offered by the state, be it educational support, housing initiatives, social welfare programs, business development opportunities, transport services “.

She said the collaboration on the registration of enrollees of Ilera Eko Scheme would ensure a reliable database for all residents, making Lagos a smart city while addressing challenges facing e-government for the over all development of the state.

” The IT Infrastructure of the Agency was upgraded in 2020 in line with the smart city agenda of the State, which culminated in the production of the multipurpose smartcard for all Lagos residents, adding that,  ”  card is a one-stop ID that functions across platforms and, it offers the benefits of ease of payment, financial inclusion opportunities, means of identification ” . Furthermore, ” the validity of the card is five years and has “robust” security features.

On Securities, the card guarantees better security screening, facilitates quick processing of State-related documents for residents and eliminates Identity fraud”

The essence, Mrs. Bilikiss Adebiyi – Abiola  said, being a smart city, that Lagos State is, it is essential that different Ministries, Departments and Agencies work smart and not in silos. ” Through collaboration with other Ministries, Departments and Agencies, better results are achieved . “

She advised residents to  pick-up the card, when it is printed assuring members of the public that, ” the status of the LAG-ID card can be checked by dialing the short USSD code, *347*641# and send to the phone number used while registering”

pointing out that, being registered with LASRRA has a lot of benefits aside securities mentioned earlier.

” LASHMA and LASRRA are piloting the first phase of partnership in five (5) locations in the State and these are, Lagos Island LCDA, Igando/Ikotun LCDA, Ikorodu LGA, Agege LGA and Badagry LGA, pointing out that, the locations were selected based on the high volume of residents who LASRRA register on daily basis “.

She stated, ” for the second phase collaboration, LASRRA has allocated an applet to LASHMA on its Identification Card which will have all the necessary information of our Enrollees. The LASRRA ID Card will eventually replace LASHMA ID Card and this will be used by our Enrollees to access care at their chosen Hospitals.

Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health Management Agency, LASHMA Emmanuella Zamba, said, the uptake of ILERA EKO – Social Health Insurance Scheme for Lagos residents in collaboration with LASRRA would further enable the state government achieve the Universal Health Coverage for Lagos residents. It ensures that no resident is left behind in the government efforts to build a stronger, more inclusive Lagos.

She explained that, LASHMA had continued to strengthen awareness on enrollments as about one point one million enrollees had registered for the scheme while imploring residents to key in to the initiative to access quality health care services and enjoy the dividends of Democracy.

She explained that, the agency has  made  premium payment very flexible with the introduction of ILERA EKO installment payment known as “ILERA EKO Pay-Small-Small” to accommodate residents who cannot pay the premium at once, saying, they can pay monthly, quarterly or bi-annually as well.

Permanent Secretary, Innovation, Science and technology, Ibilola Kasunmu, assured enrollees of data protection as the Ministry ensures compliant to the law guiding the procedure, noting that ”  the collaboration between the agencies would ensure residents unique identification were adequately captured “.

She said the collaboration on the registration of enrollees on Ilera Eko Scheme would ensure a reliable database for all residents, making Lagos a smart city while addressing challenges facing e-government for the over all development of the state.

They urged Lagos residents who were already enrolled on ILERA EKO  to call  24/7 Customer Service Lines – 0800-ASKLASHMA (0800- 275527462) or 0700-ILERAEKO (0700-46372356) for information, complaints or commendation, adding that, Residents can also send WhatsApp messages to 07045358275 or 07046160051 .
