APC WINS ALL CHAIRMANSHIP AND COUNCILLORS SEATS IN SATURDAY’S LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTION IN LAGOS.

The All Progress Congress, APC, has won all the chairmanship and councilorship seats in Saturday’s Local government election in Lagos State.

Though the exercise was ajudged peaceful, some election observers, however expressed worry over the low turnout of voters.

One of them is a group of election observers known as “YIAGA AFRICA” which deployed its observers across the state.

It called on the state electoral umpire to look into some alleged irregularities in some areas.

Similarly, the Chairman, Ebonyi State Independent Electoral Commission, Chief Jossy Eze, who representated the Federation of State Independent Electoral Commission, charged political parties in the state to embark on effective sensitisation to encourage more participation in the political process.

Chief Eze commended the electorate for the peaceful conduct during the exercise.
