The Federal Government has taken the striking resident doctors to the Industrial Court following the breakdown in reconciliation in the industrial dispute between them.

The Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige formally made this known in Abuja.

The striking doctors under the aegis of National Association of Resident Doctors, NARD, had declared industrial dispute with the federal government and proceeded on indefinite strike on the 2nd of this month over the inability of the Federal Government to meet it’s agreement.

It will be recalled that Mr. Nigige had given the NARD leadership till the end of work to convene a virtual meeting of its National Executive Committee to brief its members on the efforts of government with a view to calling off its strike
