LCCI COMMENDS NIPOST FOR INNOVATIVE LEADERSHIP IN INITIATING NEW BUSINESS MODELS.

NIPOST has been commended for innovative leadership in initiating new business models that are making it relevant.

The President of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mrs. Toki Mabogunje gave the commendation on NIPOST Day at the ongoing Lagos International Trade Fair.

She urged NIPOST to continue to deploy technology for efficient service delivery in order to attract local and foreign investors.

In a message, the Post Master General, Dr. Adebayo Adewusi, thanked LCCI for creating the platform for NIPOST to showcase itself to the world.

The General Manager, EMS Parcels, Mr. Abiodun Ogundele appealed for adequate funding of NIPOST to make it compete favourably.

“In those days, people that do not have wall clock, that do not have wristwatch. They depend on the postman to know the time of the day. He knows that the moment he sees the postman passing, it must be ten o’clock. He doesn’t need to look at his watch again. That is how it used to be in those days but a lot of things have comu now and those are the things we are trying to bring back. For us to bring it back, we need the support of everybody.”

He appealed to Nigerians for increased patronage.
