Written by on March 18, 2023

Soldiers at Epe Boundary have refused the Press, Election Observers and others to gain access into Epe Township.

With all forms of identifications presented at the point of entry, the soldiers insisted that restrictions on vehicular movement does not exempt essential workers, including Journalists.

All efforts to convince them on the importance of the role of the media during election process fell on their deaf hears.

Correspondent Yesirat Abiola reports that all the soldiers and other security operatives deployed to the Island up to Ibeju Lekki area of Lagos gave the access to pass through the road blocks but it was so surprising that those deployed at Epe Boundary are acting like semigod.

It should also be noted that they became very aggressive the moment they site your Press Identity card.
