Low turnout : The Governorship and State Assembly’s elections

The Governorship and State Assembly’s elections witnessed low turnout compared to the Presidential and National Assembly’s elections held on the twenty- fifth of last month

At polling units 073; 028; 009 007, 025 ifako , 10, 018, 070 sholuyi and its environs witnessed low turnout of voters

Some voters who refused to speak to our correspondent said they wouldn’t have showed up at their polling units but decided to use the opportunity to hang out with friends at the centres

Correspondent Ngozi Kanebi reports that heavy presence of security operatives were on ground especially patrol vehicles combing the areas
