The Lagos State APPEALS Coordinator, Mrs Oluranti Sagoe-Oviebo, made this known during a media tour at Afowo, Aradagun and Ojo areas of the state, to wrap up the six years project which was implemented through the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Mrs Sagoe-Oviebo who noted that the project, aimed towards food security, job creation and economic diversity has recorded successes, urged the beneficiaries to build on the legacy, to make Lagos the food basket of the nation.

Some of the beneficiaries ranging from Rice farmers, Catfish farmers, Hatchers and Poultry farmers appreciated the gesture and called on Investors and Researchers to sustain the project, to improve the nation’s GDP.
The APPEALS Project was executed in six states, Lagos, Kogi, Enugu, Cross Rivers, Kano and Kaduna
Some of the APPEALS interventions included good access roads, farm inputs, cages, water treatment plants and cottages to preserve fish freshness, jetties, supplements and trainings on how to convert water hyacinth to fertilisers.
