GOVERNORS IMPLEMENTS INTER STATE LOCKDOWN TO CURB COVID-19

Governors in the country have resolved to decentralised measures aimed at curtailing the spread of Coronavirus disease.
At the sixth teleconference meeting of the Nigerian Governors Forum, they agreed to implement a two week interstate lockdown
The forum also resolved to set up a Regional Committee on Covid-19 to coordinate the interstate lockdown and other measures that they may take thereafter.
The meeting which was chaired by Governor Fayemi Kayode of Ekiti State said it was disturbing that the virus has spread to twenty five states of the country.
Governor Fayemi said the the Forum agreed that Personal Protective Equipment would be provided to health workers to protect them against the disease.
The Forum congratulated Kaduna State governor, Nasir el Rufai for recovery from the virus and commiserated with President Muhammadu Buhari over the death of his Chief of Staff, Mallam Abba Kyari to Covid-19.
