Nigerians should be remorseful for unpatriotic act that do not edify the country and also be ready to chart a new course for the country’s socio- economic development.

The advice is coming from a former Director – General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, the Retired Right Reverend George Bako, when he received the Management of FRCN Lagos Operations, led by the Director Mrs. Bolanle Owoyemi, at his residence in Lagos.

He recommended a booklet and workshop to entrench a culture of responsibility in all public office holders.

The Right Reverend George Bako who was the Director General of FRCN at the time Bond FM was established, demanded renewed commitment from the government to use the language station to disseminate its policies and programmes.

Earlier, the Director Lagos Operations of FRCN, Mrs. Bolanle Owoyemi expressed delight over the wellness of Right Reverend Bako and his immense contributions to the Broadcast industry and overall nation building.

She said that the visit was to get his evaluation of the station and recommendations ahead of Bond Fm’s thirty-fifth anniversary in September this year.

Correspondent Abiola Peters quotes Mrs. Owoyemi, as saying the Right Reverend Bako will be fondly remembered for supervising the establishment of Bond FM among other language stations of FRCN.
