As the campaign for COVID-19 vaccination intensifies across the country, more reactions have trailed the exercise in Lagos State.
A cross-section of Lagos residents who bare their minds during the audience participation segment of Radio One’s early morning Yoruba programme ” Nje E ti gbo” expressed mixed feelings over the procedures.
While some acknowledged the benefits of the Covid-19 vaccines, others expressed concerns due to loss of manhour, saying they need to queue for hours before being vaccinated.
Mr Tajudeen Akinpelu from Idimu, Alhaji Opeloyeru Oyedokun from Shasha Oguntade, Alhaja Onitiri Kuye, and Mr Adeniyi JP from Iyana Ipaja advised Nigerians not to be scared of taking the COVID-19 Vaccines.
Also Mr Marvelous from Mushin, Mr Femi Ladipo, from Idimu, Mr Matthew, Mr Alaba Peters Oluomo from Ikorodu and S.A. Official advised the governments to further sensitise the people and make the Vaccines more accessible through religious and traditional centres.
Others however called for accelerated action to improve the number of vaccines in the country in order to meet the requirements of Nigeria’s population.
