Sam Egube takes oath as new Lagos Deputy Chief of Staff

The new Deputy Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor, Mr Sam Egube, has been sworn in.

This followed the death of the former Deputy Chief of Staff, Mr Gboyega Soyannwo, on May 15.

At the short ceremony at the Lagos Executive Chamber at Alausa, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, said the position must not be left void in the best interest of residents.

The Governor expressed confidence in the ability, skills and competency of Mr Egube and urged him to hit the ground running immediately for more developmental agenda.

On his part, Mr Egube promised to channel his wealth of experience and professional in tandem with the THEMES PLUS agenda of the Sanwo-Olu’s administration for improved service delivery to residents.

Mr Egube was the Lagos State Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget in Governor Sanwo-Olu’s first term between 2019 and 2023. He was nominated for a Commissioner for the second term but his nomination was dropped by the Lagos State House of Assembly.
