Suspected Killers Of Ogun Monarch languish In Police Custody

Policemen from the Zone Two Command Headquarters comprising Lagos and Ogun state have arrested eleven suspected hoodlums who allegedly killed a traditional ruler by setting him ablaze in Ogun state.
The traditional ruler was said to have gone to his village to clear the graveside of his late brother but was suddenly attacked by a group of hoodlums numbering about fifty led by one Gbeminiyi Sotade.
The monarch, Olu of Agoda town in Ifo area of Ogun State, Oba Odetola Olajide Ayinde, was said to have been driven to a forest in his vehicle, locked inside, poured petrol, and set fire on it.
The spokesperson for the Zonal Police Command, Mrs. Hauwa Idris- Adamu said the suspects have admitted their involvements in the crime.
She said three other members of the royal Family narrowly escaped being killed by the hoodlums.
“The AIG is assuring the citizens of Lagos and Ogun states that whosoever is involved in this dastardly act will be brought to book no matter how highly placed the person or group of persons are.

The suspects are said to be part of the deadly land grabbers terrorizing Ogun State and its environs.
