IGP Reviews operational Tactics along Abuja-Kaduna Route, Deploys More men

The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Alkali Baba, has gone on a security assessment tour of the 163km stretch of the Abuja-Kaduna expressway to identify the security challenges and check the effectiveness of the operational deployment of the Police tactical squads to ensure the safety of travelers along the route.

During the patrol, Mr. Baba identified some lapses and quickly mapped out some salient and strategic points along the express which were immediately fortified with the deployment of operatives drawn from the Police Mobile Force (PMF), Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU), Special Forces (SF), Intelligence Response Team (IRT), the Special Tactical Squad (STS), as well as air-wing operatives in charge of unmanned aerial vehicles of the Nigeria Police Force.
The Inspector-General of Police also visited personnel of the Armed Forces and Police deployed to Rijana to secure the technical crew of the Nigeria Railway Corporation undertaking repairs of the damaged train coaches and rail line in the axis, to boost their morale and assess the state of things.
The police boss assured Nigerians that with the strategic and operational deployment of security operatives along the route, normalcy would once again be restored.
In a statement, the Acting Force Spokesman, Mr. Muyiwa Adejobi said that the IGP tasked members of the public on active intelligence sharing with Law Enforcement Agencies for effective policing of the nation.
