Kangiwa bags Chinese Friendship Award

The Director General, National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism NIHOTOUR, Alhaji Nura Sani Kangiwa has been bestowed with a friendship laurel by the Embassy of China in Nigeria.

In a remark, the Chinese Embassy Cultural Counsellor in Nigeria, Li Xuda noted that Alhaji Kangiwa was singled out for valuable his contributions to Chinese, Nigeria relationship dating over fifty years.

The Award investiture which took place in Abuja was attended by the Chinese community and stakeholders in the tourism and hospitality industry.

Responding Alhaji Kangiwa, said the Chinese diadem, will encourage him to explore more opportunities for both countries to grow bilateral cultural tourism education, particularly in areas of Gastronomic research and documentation.

He said, NIHOTOUR under his watch, would continue to sustain Nigeria relationship with the Chinese community in Nigeria and since food bears a universal friendship message and understanding, would endeavour to encourage a research and documentation exchange programme between Nigeria and china, with hope of encouraging each other to appreciate the richness of Nigerian food culture and in so doing, grow the Culinary visits between the two countries.
