This visit signals a transformative commitment by the federal government to enhance healthcare for Nigerian pilgrims.

During his important visit to NAHCON’s Ummul-Jud office, Professor Pate assured officials that the government is dedicated to addressing the critical healthcare challenges faced by Nigerian pilgrims.

His remarks reflected a strong federal resolve and an increased focus on pilgrim welfare under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

“Our commitment is clear,” Professor Pate stated during strategic discussions with NAHCON officials. “In light of global health concerns, including meningitis outbreaks and polio, it is essential that we meet and exceed Saudi Arabia’s health requirements. Ensuring reliable vaccination documentation, including yellow cards for all Nigerian pilgrims, is non-negotiable.”

The visit identified key areas for improvement, particularly in enhancing the availability of essential medicines, vaccines, medical equipment, and operational ambulances.

NAHCON Chairman/CEO, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, praised the Minister’s initiative, highlighting its significance: “Your presence and involvement demonstrate an extraordinary commitment that boosts confidence in our healthcare delivery. This unprecedented engagement will undoubtedly facilitate a smoother and safer Hajj experience for our pilgrims in 2025.”
