NFF President elected CAF- WAFU B president

The Chairman of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Otunba Gbenga Elegbeleye, has praised the election of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau as the new leader of the West Africa Football Union (WAFU) B, a regional body under the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

CAF established WAFU B as part of its efforts to decentralize football administration in Africa. The zone includes Nigeria, Benin Republic, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Niger Republic, and Togo.

Elegbeleye described Gusau’s emergence as a testament to Nigeria’s growing influence in African football governance.

He expressed confidence that Gusau’s leadership would bring positive developments to football in the sub-region.
