Ondo State Governor Woos Investors for Araromi Beach Development

Ondo State Governor, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has expressed his administration’s willingness to welcome private investors to develop Araromi Beach, located in Ilaje Local Government Area, into a world-class tourism attraction.

The governor made this known during a breakfast meeting with the Nigerian Association of Tour Operators (NATOP), who were in Ondo State for their 9th Annual General Meeting and a visit to explore the beach’s marketable tourism potential.

“We have created access roads, put in place strong security measures, and ensured ease of doing business to give any intending investor a safe landing,” Governor Aiyedatiwa said.

Araromi Beach, with its pristine shores and serene atmosphere, is poised to become a major tourist destination. The beach boasts soft sand, stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean, and opportunities for cultural exchange with local communities.

However, the governor acknowledged that further development is necessary to support tourism growth and provide a more comfortable experience for visitors. He noted that with proper investment and management, Araromi Beach has the potential to become a significant contributor to Ondo State’s economy and a popular destination for tourists.

The governor also discussed plans for religious tourism to immortalize Prophet T.B. Joshua, a prominent figure from the state, in collaboration with his family. Additionally, he mentioned that the Lagos-Calabar coastal road, which passes through the Araromi community, would open up access to the beach.

NATOP President, Alhaja Bolaji Mustapha, pledged the association’s willingness to work with the Ondo State government to market tourism sites across the country. She thanked the governor for welcoming and hosting NATOP members in the state.

With Ondo State’s 200 kilometers of beachfront, considered one of the longest and most naturally endowed in Nigeria, Araromi Beach is set to become a hub for tourism development and economic growth.
