Christian Youths Urged to Glorify God Using Social Media Platforms, Reduce Screen Time to Prevent Distractions

The youths have been challenged to use their social media platforms to glorify God and be identified as a child of God to preach the gospel and win more souls into the kingdom of Heaven.

A Youth leader, Mr David Achoba threw the challenge at today’s Youth Service at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Abundance Grace parish in Eyita, Ikorodu.

Reading from the books of Luke chapter five verse sixteen, Mr Achoba urged youths to reduce screen time noting that excessive stay on screen halts spiritual life, hence the need to be separated from it to study the words of God.

While noting that comparism steals joy, the Youth leaders cautioned against posting materials which are not edifying God on social media and advised them to always make positive use of it to better their lives, rather than comparing their lives with what they see on social media.

Mr Achoba also called on parents to be in tune with their children’s social media accounts in a bid to guiding them alright so they won’t derail from the path of righteousness.

The congregation prayed for the youths as the future leaders of the country to be impactful to the society.
