The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State has condoled with its National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, following the death of his mother, Mama Lydia Yilwatda.
In a statement by its Acting Publicity Secretary, Shittu Bamaiyi, the party described the late Mama Lydia as a devoted Christian, virtuous leader, and pillar of support to her family, the church, and the wider community.
The APC noted that her demise was not only a personal loss to Professor Yilwatda and his siblings but also to the entire APC family, the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), and Plateau State.
The statement added that Mama Lydia, alongside her late husband, Reverend Toma Yilwatda, made immense contributions to the growth of the church in Borno, Yobe, Bauchi, and Plateau States.
The party stressed that she left behind a legacy of service, humility, and godliness, reflected in the lives and accomplishments of her children.
While praying for the repose of her soul, the APC urged the Yilwatda family to take solace in her exemplary life and enduring contributions to faith, family, and society.
