Diocese of Lagos West Holds 26th Annual Women’s Conference in Ipaja

A three day women’s conference of the Diocese of Lagos West, Anglican Communion is underway in Ipaja, with the theme “Do Not Give Place To the Enemy”, according to Ephesians chapter four verse twenty seven.

The Annual Women’s Conference which is the 26th edition is holding at Caroline Adefiola Adebiyi Women’s Conference Centre, City of God, Majiyagbe Layout, Ipaja, Lagos, aims to rejuvenate the women spiritually, physically and mentally.

Declaring the conference open, the Bishop of the Diocese, the Right Reverend James Odedeji, encouraged the women not to give room for the enemy to kill their joy, faith and destroy their relationship with God.

The Bishop quoting from different scriptures in the Bible, affirmed that the enemy or satan can only operate in one’s life when there are lapses.

He enumerated some tactics of the enemy to include; weakness, sin, temptation, idle words, gossips, separation and condemnation, as well as fear or doubt.

The Bishop implored the gathering to put on the full armour of God, submit to God and resist the devil, guard their heart jealously, pray and stay rooted in the word of God to resist the enemy’s influence.

Other highlights of the day include, health on sleep Physiology and its Benefit on Health and Wellness by Mrs Oluremi Awe and group discussions on contemporary issues.

The conference had in attendance no fewer than one thousand delegates from the Archdeaconries across the Diocese.
