Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho has sealed a one-year deal with Scottish giants Celtic Football Club, with an option for a further year, subject to international clearance.
The 28-year-old’s move ends weeks of speculation over his future following his mutual departure from Spanish side Sevilla.
He had joined Sevilla in 2024 before finishing the 2024/25 season on loan at English Championship outfit Middlesbrough.
Iheanacho’s switch to Celtic reunites him with manager Brendan Rodgers, under whom he played at Leicester City, where he made over 200 appearances and established himself as a key player.
On the international stage, the Super Eagles striker has earned nearly 60 caps, featuring prominently in Nigeria’s run to a silver medal at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
