The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency, DSVA, stormed the Iyana-Ipaja Motor Park in continuation of its grassroots campaign against Sexual and Gender-Based Violence.
During the sensitization exercise, officers of the agency engaged commuters, transport workers, and community members on key issues such as consent, child abuse, and the devastating impact of domestic violence on society.
The outreach also provided a platform for stakeholders to collaborate, with the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Lagos Chapter, lending support alongside the Lagos State Health Management Agency.
In addition, the Lagos State AIDS Control Agency and TelMD Nigeria partnered with the DSVA to offer free medical checkups and consultations to participants.
According to the agency, the exercise is part of ongoing efforts to create safer communities across the state and ensure citizens have access to both preventive education and healthcare support.
