Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has congratulated Team Lagos for emerging overall champions of the ninth National Youth Games held in Asaba, Delta State.
In a message posted on his official Facebook page, the Governor announced that Team Lagos topped the medals table with 110 medals; 52 gold, 32 silver, and 26 bronze.
He praised the athletes, coaches, and the Lagos State Sports Commission for the historic victory, describing it as a clear reflection of the state’s strength and commitment to sporting excellence.
Governor Sanwo-Olu also revealed plans to host the victorious contingent in celebration of their remarkable achievement, noting that Lagos is immensely proud of the athletes for making history and showcasing the state’s sporting prowess on a national stage.
