The General Manager of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), Mr. Olalekan Bakare-Oki, has once again cautioned motorists to obey speed limits and carry out regular maintenance on their vehicles.
Bakare-Oki issued the warning while reacting to two separate accidents recorded around Mile Two and Surulere.
He emphasized that excessive speeding and mechanical negligence remain major causes of road crashes and must be avoided.
He commended the swift response, professionalism, and coordination of LASTMA officials and the Police in managing both emergencies.
The LASTMA General Manager reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to rapid emergency response, effective traffic management, and the overall safety of road users across Lagos State.
