Ahead of resumption of passenger services on the Abuja–Kaduna Train Service (AKTS) tomorrow, Wednesday 1st October 2025, the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has opened its online ticketing platform for ticket payment.
Following this development, passengers are required to book their tickets online via https://nrc.tps.ng or visit any of the designated stations to purchase their tickets.
Meanwhile, in preparation for the resumption of services, the journey time has been reduced following a review of the Temporary Speed Restriction (TSR) to enhance operations.
The service on the Anuja-Kaduna route was temporarily suspended after the unfortunate incident of August 26, 2025 when a train derailed.
Since then, the Corporation has worked tirelessly to ensure both the infrastructure and rolling stock are restored to the highest safety standards in line with global best practices.
In a statement, the NRC thanked passengers for their understanding during the suspension period and assures the public that safety, comfort, and customer satisfaction remain its top priorities.
