The Lagos State House of Assembly says this year’s Speaker’s Game tagged “Unity Edition,” is geared towards fostering peaceful work relationship in the Lagos State Government.
The yearly sporting event which aims to promotes unity among the workforce of Lagos State , will also be an avenue to celebrate ten years of leadership of the Chief Mudashiru Obasa as Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly.
A statement by the Chairman, Organizing Committee of the Games, Mr. Abiodun Orekoya, says the competition which tees-off on the 20th of this month is a testament of the peace been experience within the Legislative Arm.
According to Mr. Orekoya, several improvements are in place to ensure that the event is even more successful than previous ones.
The event which is billed climax on the 11th of November 2025 will hold at Assembly Complex and will feature 32 Teams for male Football, 16 Teams for female football, Volley Ball, Tug ‘O’ War, Table Tennis, Snooker, Ayo Olopon, Draught, Ludo, Play Station and other side attraction.
The Speaker’s Game, which began in 2020, has grown to become an annual event fostering friendship, fitness, and teamwork among the various Ministries,LGAs, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) of Lagos State.
The organisers of the competition say it will also serve as an empowerment platform through distribution of foodstuffs, to ensure healthy living and sportsmanship spirit, foster social relationship amongst the workforce of the State three Arms of Government.
