The Lagos Water Corporation (LWC) says it is now better positioned to deliver on its mandate of providing potable and affordable water to residents of Lagos State.
The Managing Director of LWC, Mr. Mukhtaar Tijani, gave the assurance at the commencement of a three-day High-Impact Leadership Training Programme aimed at strengthening leadership capacity and positioning the Corporation for future growth and sustainability.
The training, themed “Building a Future-Ready Utility Company,” runs from Tuesday, October 14 to Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the Corporation’s Water House, Ijora, Lagos.
Mr. Tijani described the training as a strategic initiative to enhance leadership effectiveness within the Corporation.
He emphasized the importance of continuous leadership development, noting that regular training enables organisations to remain competitive, achieve set goals, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
According to him, the programme will equip senior management staff with essential skills in emotional intelligence, strategic thinking, and stakeholder engagement.
“This programme will be beneficial to all participants. It will help us improve communication, enhance leadership capacity, and translate our vision into measurable results,” Tijani said, adding that he looks forward to joining the final session to share in the participants’ experiences.
Delivering an overview of the training, Mr. Tokunbo Adeboye explained that High-Impact Leadership Training equips leaders with the skills and strategies needed to drive meaningful change and deliver exceptional results.
He highlighted the key objectives of the workshop as fostering innovation, encouraging creative problem-solving, improving decision-making, and building high-performing teams.

“This programme is a cutting-edge, discussion-driven engagement designed for LWC’s strategic leadership team.
The goal is to nurture leaders who can influence others, drive change, and deliver sustainable results for the Corporation,” Adeboye added.
