A new Commissioner of Police, CP Toyin Agbaminoja, has assumed duty at the Port Authority Police (Western) Command in Apapa, Lagos, becoming the 33rd officer to head the command.
She succeeds AIG Olanrewaju Olawale Ishiola, who was recently promoted and retired from service.CP Agbaminoja, a seasoned officer with over 30 years of service, joined the Nigeria Police Force in 1994 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent.
A native of Owo in Ondo State, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Language from the University of Ilorin, Kwara State.
Having previously served as Divisional Police Officer (DPO) at RORO Port Division and as Command Traffic Officer, Western Ports, CP Agbaminoja’s posting marks a return to familiar ground.
Before her latest appointment, she led the Special Enquiry Bureau at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Alagbon.
The new Commissioner pledged to strengthen collaboration with port stakeholders to enhance security, improve operations, and ensure a safe environment for economic growth within the nation’s maritime sector.
