The President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Mr Olusola Ladoja has called on the federal government to honour agreements with university unions to forstall the incessant industrial action.
Mr Ladoja made the call when he led the executives of the Association on a visit to the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Comrade Joe Ajaero at the Labour House, Abuja on Tuesday.
The two unions agreed to work together to resolve challenges impeding development in the education sector.
Both leaders urged government to adequately fund the tertiary education to meet the threshold of 26% of the national budget as recommended by UNESCO.
