Police Academy, Kano Govt Forge Alliance for Historic Convocation

The Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, has intensified high-level engagements with the Kano State Government as preparations advance for its maiden Convocation, Course Night, and Passing Out Parade Ceremony scheduled to hold in Kano.

The initiative is part of a strategic effort to deepen institutional collaboration, enhance state support, and ensure a seamless, landmark event.

Leading the engagement, the Commandant of the Academy, AIG Patrick A. Atayero, led a delegation of senior officers to the Kano Government House, where they briefed the Executive Governor on ongoing arrangements and key areas requiring partnership.

The delegation comprised the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Ibrahim Bakori, PhD; Deputy Commandant, CP Bassey Ewah; Director of Works, Infrastructure and Physical Development, CP Sani Musa Mohammed, psc; Academy Registrar, Barr. Dr. Ekpere Ezegwu; and other top officials from both the State Command and the Academy.

Receiving the team, the Kano State Governor expressed enthusiasm for the forthcoming ceremonies and applauded the Academy’s leadership for formally involving the state government. He pledged full support to ensure a successful and memorable event, describing the Academy as a pivotal national security and academic institution with strategic relevance to Kano State and the nation.

The engagement further cements cooperation between the state and the Academy, particularly in security development, educational advancement, and community partnership.
