The Nigeria Police Force has commenced its nationwide Departmental Selection Board (DSB) promotion exercise for Inspectors, with the Zone 2 Command Headquarters in Onikan, Lagos, hosting its session in line with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM.
Running through Friday, December 5, 2025, the exercise is part of ongoing reforms aimed at improving welfare, strengthening motivation, and promoting a transparent, merit-based career progression system within the Force.
Inspectors serving in the Lagos and Ogun State Police Commands are undergoing the assessment.
Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 2, AIG Adegoke M. Fayoade, psc, mni, fisn, led the formal opening of the exercise.
He congratulated all qualified officers and encouraged them to demonstrate professionalism, discipline, and integrity throughout the process.
Restating the Force’s zero-tolerance for misconduct, AIG Fayoade cautioned participants against bribery, shortcuts, or any form of malpractice.
Supporting him in the exercise are DCP Bello Adamu (Finance and Administration) and DCP Olubode Fakeye (ZCID).
The ongoing promotion screening highlights the Nigeria Police Force’s renewed commitment to rewarding diligence, enhancing operational capacity, and strengthening the career development of its personnel.
