NOA Drums Support For People With Disabilities

The National Orientation Agency, NOA, has joined the global community in celebrating the International Day of People with Disabilities a day that reminds of shared humanity, collective strength, and the power of inclusion.

In a statement, Director General of NOA, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, the agency urges the citizenry to uphold the Nigerian Values Charter, by reaffirming the Citizen Codes of Respect, Dignity, Tolerance, Responsibility, and Unity.

It notes that these values call on every Nigerian to recognise the worth of every person, to embrace the differences, and to champion a society where no one is left behind.

According to the statement, ‘People with disabilities are pillars of resilience, creativity, and leadership.

When we remove barriers and open doors, we unlock the full potential of our nation’.

‘Today, we reaffirm our commitment to building a Nigeria where every citizen can live, thrive, and contribute without discrimination’.

‘Together, let us choose compassion over stigma, access over exclusion, and unity over division.

‘Nigeria is stronger when every Nigerian belongs’.
