The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Chief Mudashiru Obasa, has expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will successfully strengthen Nigeria’s security architecture with the collective support of citizens.

Speaking at a meeting of APC stakeholders and the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) held at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, Obasa said the President and the APC-led federal government remain committed to ensuring the safety of lives and property across the country.
“We have seen the President in action, innovating and working tirelessly to address our many challenges, especially insecurity.
We believe he will get it done.
He is still the man capable of delivering progress.
That is why we must do everything within our power to ensure his return in 2027,” Obasa stated.
The Speaker commended the governors for their dedication to supporting President Tinubu’s efforts to tackle the nation’s security concerns.
He urged them to mobilise citizens in their respective states to actively contribute to solving Nigeria’s security problems rather than staying passive.
“Security is not just about the governors; it involves everyone.
We must all join hands in this fight and give the President all the support necessary to redirect Nigeria’s trajectory,” he said.
The PGF met in Lagos from December 5 to 6 in a session convened by its chairman, Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, and hosted by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
In a communiqué read by Governor Uzodimma, the Forum passed a vote of confidence on President Tinubu’s administration and pledged unwavering support for his Renewed Hope Agenda and his 2027 bid.
The governors reviewed the nation’s security situation and commended the improved coordination among federal, state, and local security structures.
They also applauded the sacrifices of security agencies and community volunteers and resolved to further strengthen local security systems across their states.
Governor Uzodimma noted that the two-day meeting offered an opportunity to assess the country’s trajectory, enhance collaboration among governors, and reaffirm their commitment to President Tinubu’s developmental agenda.
“The PGF commends President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his steadfast commitment to stabilizing the economy, strengthening national security, and laying the foundation for sustainable growth through the Renewed Hope Agenda,” he said.
