The Lagos State Judiciary has called on its workforce to sustain a culture of excellence, discipline and diligence as it positions itself to meet the demands of the New Year.
The call was made at the Judiciary’s end-of-year party held in Lagos, which brought together judicial officers and non-judicial staff to review the year’s achievements and honour exceptional service across departments.
Addressing attendees, the Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice Kazeem Olanrewaju Alogba, praised judges, magistrates and support staff for their unwavering commitment to duty, despite the pressures of justice delivery in a rapidly expanding megacity like Lagos.
He urged personnel to approach the New Year with renewed resolve to raise professional standards, strengthen integrity and enhance service delivery to court users, noting that teamwork and shared responsibility remain central to the judiciary’s success.
Justice Alogba emphasized that excellence within the system thrives when every staff member upholds the core values of fairness, efficiency and accountability.
As part of the celebration, Awards of Excellence were presented to deserving staff in recognition of outstanding performance and dedication.
Among the awardees was Mr. Adejugbagbe Charleston, Personal Assistant to the Chief Judge, who received the Award of Excellence in Data Processing for his exceptional technical competence, effective data management and administrative support.
The Chief Judge explained that the recognition of excellence was intentional, serving both as motivation and as reinforcement of a merit-driven culture within the judiciary.
The event also featured goodwill messages, music and moments of camaraderie, allowing staff to unwind after a demanding year while reaffirming their collective commitment to the effective administration of justice in Lagos State.
