The Director General, Civil Aviation, Captain Chris Najomo, has approved the NCAA’s new Conditions of Service.
He urged staff to renew their commitment to duty in order to keep Nigeria’s aviation sector safe, secure, economically viable and passenger-friendly.
Captain Najomo made the announcement at the NCAA’s New Year Prayer Session held today at the Authority’s Lagos Regional Office.
He commended staff for their dedication in the past year, noting that their efforts helped advance the NCAA’s mandate, align with the Aviation Minister’s five-point agenda and support President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope vision for the aviation sector.
He said the current administration moved swiftly to resolve several long-standing challenges, including staff stagnation at Grade Level 14, outstanding housing and relocation allowances, and the completion of previously abandoned regional offices in Port Harcourt and Kano.
Captain Najomo also highlighted progress in safety and regulatory reforms, citing the development of Nigeria’s Civil Aviation Master Plan with ICAO, the launch of digital consumer protection and regulatory portals, and the commissioning of the Flight Data Centre in Abuja to strengthen safety oversight and international confidence.
As he prayed for a successful and fulfilling 2026, the DGCA called for continued unity and teamwork among management and staff, stressing that sustained cooperation would drive even greater achievements for the Authority in the year ahead.
