The Lagos State House of Assembly has confirmed the appointment of Mr. Waheed Oshodi as Chairman of the Lagos State Trust Fund (LSTF) Board of Trustees.
The confirmation followed his nomination by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and was approved during plenary after the presentation of a screening report by the House ad-hoc committee.
Presenting the report, the committee chairman and lawmaker representing Ibeju-Lekki State Constituency I, Mr. Fatai Mojeed, said the screening was conducted in line with Sections 106 and 192 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
According to Mojeed, the committee assessed the nominee based on his credentials, personal appearance, performance, and overall presentation during the screening exercise.
He added that a review of previous appointments to the position showed that Mr. Oshodi met all requirements and was suitably qualified to serve as chairman.
Consequently, the committee unanimously recommended his confirmation, which was adopted by the House.
Following the approval, the Speaker of the House, Chief Mudashiru Obasa, directed the Clerk of the House, Mr. Olalekan Onafeko, to transmit the resolution to Governor Sanwo-Olu for necessary action.
