The Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Waidi Shuaibu has commended the gallant officers and soldiers of the Army for their resilience in keeping the safety of the nation despite the various challenges.

He made this known at the Nigerian Army Finance Corp year 2025.West African Social Activities WASA held at Arakan barracks Apapa Lagos.
Lieutenant General Shuaibu represented by the commander corps of signals Major General Mohammed Abdullahi emphasised that this Year the Army would take delivery of additional helicopters, unmanned aerial systems and other critical combat enablers to enhance operational effectiveness in countering crime and other security threats across the country.

The Chief of Army Staff observed the pivotal role played by the Nigerian Army Finance Corps in shaping and sustaining the financial architecture of the Nigerian Army, ensuring the prudent, transparent and efficient allocation of resources in support of operations and training, despite prevailing resource constraints.
The COAS Urged all officers and soldiers to remain resolute and steadfast in their commitment to duty as they commence yet another training circle as the evolving challenges before them demand unity of purpose, discipline, and unwavering dedication.
The Chief of accounts and Budget Major General Taofik Sidick acknowledged the prompt execution of the Nigeria Army Finance Corps responsibility in the payment of all salaries and allowances for all soldiers .

The CAB also observed that all necessary training requirement for the year was met.
The West Africa Socio Activities is an annual Nigerian Army event marking the end of an operational and training year.
It is designed to promote unity, boost morale and further cement cultural integration among personnel.
The memorable occasion, featured presentation of awards to outstanding soldiers from the host units, exhibitions of Nigerian cultural and traditional cuisines and attire, cultural performances, comedy , tug-of-war competition.
