The second batch of 2025 Lagos Christian pilgrims has arrived safely in Israel on Sunday, February 15, 2026, after completing a three-day stopover in the Kingdom of Jordan.

They were received by Mr. Adebayo Anthony, representing Nigeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the Nigerian Embassy in Israel.

He advised the pilgrims to secure their belongings, obey local regulations, and dedicate the pilgrimage to prayers for Nigeria, their states, and their families.

The pilgrims commenced devotional activities with visits to the Mount Tabor — site of the Basilica of the Transfiguration — and later the Nazareth, where they prayed at the Church of the Annunciation before retiring to their hotel.
Meanwhile, Dr. Gbolabo Okudero, Board Secretary of the Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, urged strict compliance with instructions from tour officials to ensure a smooth pilgrimage.
He cautioned pilgrims against distractions and unnecessary outings, advising them to postpone shopping and remain focused on the spiritual purpose of the journey.
He also instructed participants to return to their rooms after dinner to prepare for the next day’s activities.
Dr. Okudero further encouraged cooperation, discipline, and mutual care among pilgrims, reminding them they represent Lagos State and Nigeria.
According to him, orderliness and prayerful conduct are essential to preserving both the spiritual value of the pilgrimage and the image of the state and the country.
