MMIA Terminal 2, Abuja Airport Now Offer Free Seamless Internet Access

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has unveiled free high-speed airport WiFi at Lagos and Abuja international airports.

Done in partnership with a telecommunications company, the Managing Director, FAAN, Mrs Olubunmi Kuku says, this marks a defining shift in passenger experience and national digital infrastructure.

Mrs. Kuku represented by the Director of Operations, Captain Mahmoud Abdullahi, declared the rollout more than a routine service upgrade.

According to her, at Terminal 2 of Murtala Muhammed International Airport and at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, travellers can now log on freely and seamlessly, transforming long queues and waiting lounges into spaces of productivity, connection and opportunity.

Airport terminals, she noted, are no longer just transit points but vibrant micro-cities where business deals are sealed, university applications submitted, diplomatic briefs reviewed and emotional reunions streamed in real time.

Beyond passenger comfort, the MD FAAN says, the initiative signals a broader ambition, aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s digital economy drive and the reform agenda of the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr Festus Keyamo.

Expansion plans are already in motion. The service will soon reach the MMIA Temporary Terminal, Lagos and extend to international airports in Enugu, Port Harcourt and Kano, reinforcing FAAN’s pledge that no Nigerian airport should remain an “offline island” in an increasingly connected world.
