Student and youth organisations in Nigeria have recognised Cletus Ilobana for for his contributions to journalism and youth development.

The honours were jointly presented by the National Association of Nigerian Students and the Youth Coalition for Education in Nigeria during a ceremony attended by youth leaders and advocates.
Ilobanafor received the title “Icon and Cynosure of Societal Transformation” from the student body, while the youth coalition conferred a “Certificate of Noble Prize for Excellence” and named him “Vanguard of Societal Transformation in Nigeria.”
Representatives of the groups said the awards followed an assessment of his role in developmental journalism, youth advocacy, and initiatives supporting underserved communities.
They added that his media leadership has strengthened public discourse and promoted accountability in national development.
In his response, Ilobanafor described the recognition as motivating and reaffirmed his commitment to responsible journalism and national service.
He encouraged young Nigerians to embrace innovation, leadership and constructive participation in nation-building.
Organisers noted that the dual honours highlight his continued dedication to youth empowerment and ethical journalism, describing the media as a key driver of social transformation.
