The Awuse of Onigbongbo Kingdom, Oba Oluwasegun Adeyemi Ajasa, has called on traditional rulers to actively support and strengthen the democratic process in Lagos State.

The monarch made the call while attending the All Progressives Congress (APC) State Congress, where he emphasized the importance of traditional institutions in promoting peace, unity, and stability in the political space.
Oba Ajasa noted that collaboration between community leaders and political actors remains essential for building a stronger democratic system and accelerating national development.
According to the royal father, traditional rulers have a critical responsibility to encourage civic participation among their people and promote peaceful political engagement.
He therefore urged other traditional rulers and community leaders across the state to work closely with political leaders to ensure a smooth, peaceful, and credible democratic process.
