Esther Ajayi Urges Media to Promote Truth, Positive Nigerian Narratives

Prominent cleric and philanthropist, Esther Ajayi, has called on the media to play a stronger role in promoting moral values, national development, and positive narratives about Nigeria.

Prophetess Ajayi made the call during a courtesy visit by the Director of Lagos Operations of Radio Nigeria, Adenike Adegoke, at the headquarters of the Love of Christ Generation Church in Lagos.

Speaking on the role of journalists in shaping society, Ajayi urged media organizations to uphold truth, accuracy, and integrity in their reporting while promoting narratives that foster unity and national progress.

She advised journalists to remain objective and responsible in their duties, emphasizing that credible journalism can influence moral behavior and inspire hope among citizens.

Ajayi also encouraged Nigerian media platforms to highlight the country’s economic potential, particularly in agriculture, noting that Nigeria’s fertile land remains one of its most valuable yet underutilized resources.

According to her, sustained media advocacy could attract both local and international investors to the agricultural sector and help reposition it as a major driver of economic growth.

The cleric further reflected on broader challenges confronting the nation, including economic hardship and social pressures, attributing many of these issues to declining moral values.

She urged Nigerians to embrace compassion, honesty, and generosity, stressing that meaningful societal transformation must begin with individuals supporting one another and contributing to community development.

Prophetess Ajayi, whose humanitarian initiatives have supported vulnerable groups, students, and small-scale traders, said helping others remains a personal commitment inspired by her faith and gratitude for what she described as divine intervention in her life.

During the visit, Princess Adegoke commended the cleric’s humanitarian and spiritual contributions, noting that her work has positively impacted many lives within and outside Nigeria.

She added that Radio Nigeria would continue to spotlight inspiring individuals and initiatives that promote positive values, social responsibility, and national development.

The visit also opened discussions on potential media engagements, including a proposed radio interview aimed at sharing Ajayi’s experiences while encouraging women through inspirational storytelling and community-focused programmes.

The meeting highlighted the growing collaboration between faith-based institutions and the media in addressing social challenges and promoting moral and civic responsibility in society.
