Rivers United have moved to the top of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) table following a 1-0 victory over Plateau United in Port Harcourt.
Samuel Wisdom scored the decisive goal in the 18th minute, lifting Rivers United to 58 points—two clear of former leaders Enugu Rangers, who were held to a goalless draw by Niger Tornadoes.
In other Matchday 34 fixtures, Shooting Stars SC played out a goalless draw with Kwara United, remaining fifth on the log.
Ikorodu City strengthened their hold on third place with a 3-0 win over Kano Pillars, while Enyimba International also secured a 3-0 victory against Katsina United.
Elsewhere, Barau FC came from behind to defeat Remo Stars 2-1, while Wikki Tourists boosted their survival hopes with a late 1-0 win over Bayelsa United.
Bendel Insurance also edged Abia Warriors 1-0 in Benin City.
