Troops of Sector 2, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have executed a series of coordinated clearance operations targeting identified terrorist enclaves in Zamfara State.
The operations, launched recently in the State, covered critical locations, such as Maikwanuga village (Talata Mafara LGA),Aljumma, Gidan Dawa, Magami Didi and Tungar Magaji villages (Maradun LGA).
During the Operations, troops engaged terrorists in Tungar Magaji with overwhelming firepower, neutralizing 2 terrorists and forcing others to flee in disarray.
Following the engagement, troops conducted a thorough search of the area, recovering one AK-47 rifle with 30 rounds loaded magazine and one motorcycle.
The operations are part of a sustained campaign to dismantle terrorist hideouts within the Bagega–Sunke forest corridor and ensure lasting security for affected communities.
Operation FANSAN YAMMA urged the public to support these efforts by providing timely and credible information to security agencies for enhanced results.
