The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Lagos State has affirmed Prince Adelaja Adeoye as its governorship candidate for the 2027 general election.
Speaking after the party’s primary and consensus affirmation held in Yaba, Lagos, Prince Adeoye expressed appreciation to party delegates and leaders for the confidence reposed in him, describing his emergence as a mandate to provide purposeful leadership and reposition Lagos State.
He said the APM was determined to offer Lagosians an alternative platform anchored on accountability, transparency and people-oriented governance.
According to him, his administration, if elected in 2027, would implement a development blueprint tagged “Àtunto Èkó 1.0: Re-Engineering Lagos for Inclusive Prosperity.”
The governorship candidate said the agenda would focus on economic growth, job creation, affordable housing, quality education, healthcare delivery, infrastructure renewal, security and inclusive governance.
Prince Adeoye also promised policies aimed at attracting investments, supporting small businesses, expanding transportation systems, improving electricity supply and tackling flooding across the state.
On security, he pledged support for community policing and the establishment of Amotekun in Lagos State to strengthen the safety of lives and property.
He further promised to prioritise youth empowerment, social welfare and equitable development across all parts of the state.
The APM candidate congratulated other successful aspirants of the party for the House of Assembly, House of Representatives and Senate seats, urging members to remain united ahead of the 2027 elections.
Prince Adeoye also commended party leaders, alliance partners and supporters for their commitment despite what he described as political and legal challenges facing the party.
He specifically acknowledged the support of Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde; Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed; and the national leadership of the party for strengthening the APM.
He called on Lagos residents and party supporters to rally behind the APM, saying the party was ready to provide a new direction for Lagos State.
