The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, has unveiled new by-laws for the first time in 21 years, replacing regulations last reviewed in 2005.
Chairman of the FAAN Board, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, says the 2025 By-Laws mark a major milestone that will strengthen airport governance and improve operational efficiency across the Authority.
Managing Director of FAAN, Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, says the previous regulations had become outdated and could no longer meet the demands of today’s aviation industry.
She explains that the revised framework aligns with current global best practices and will serve as a comprehensive guide for staff, airport users and other stakeholders, while promoting safer, more secure and commercially viable airport operations.
Mrs Kuku adds that the new by-laws reaffirm FAAN’s commitment to regulatory compliance, operational excellence and improved service delivery across Nigeria’s airports.
