GOVERNOR SANWO-OLU VISITS SITE OF BUILDING COLLAPSE AS DEATH TOLL CONTINUES TO RISE.

Two more bodies, both male have been recovered bringing the death toll to twenty-two in the building collapse site on Gerrard Road, Ikoyi.

Meanwhile, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has visited the site of the collapsed building to inspect the level and progress being made in the ongoing rescue operation of those trapped.

Governor Sanwo-Olu who expressed appreciation to the first responders and all who have joined the rescue efforts appealed to the families of
those still missing to be patient as the rescue workers work tirelessly to ensure everyone still under the rubbles are rescued.

He restated that a help desk had been
set up at the site for people seeking information about their relations who may have been involved in the unfortunate incident.

The Governor who expressed condolences to the families who have lost loved ones,prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed.

Pledging that there would be no cover-ups in the search for truth in the incident, Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasised that anyone indicted, would definitely face the wrath of the law.
