NCAA says proof of COVID vaccination not required for travel

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has faulted reports by a section of some media and social media, that the Federal Government through NCAA has given a directive that from 1st December 2021 travellers without proof of vaccination will not be permitted to board both local and international flights.

In a statement, the General Manager, Public Affairs, NCAA, Mr. Sam Adurogboye says, such directive emanated from the Federal Government through NCAA was false.

He therefore called on the travelling and general public to discountenance such news as there is no iota of truth in it.

According to him, carriers of such news should always cross-check facts from the concerned authorities before publishing..

He said, the Authority will continue to support all Federal Government
initiatives to curb the spread of the Delta variant.

“However, we expect strict adherence to safety protocols in and out of the airports by wearing our facemask, washing our hands periodically, using alcohol-based hand sanitizer, maintaining social distance and avoiding crowded space”.
